Our Banned Books section exists because we believe in the freedom to read. Across the country, books are increasingly challenged or removed from schools and public libraries—often because they make people uncomfortable, raise hard questions, or reflect lived experiences some would rather ignore. We don't all have to agree with every book, but we do believe everyone should have the right to explore ideas, learn, and decide for themselves. And when it comes to kids, we believe those choices belong with families—parents and caregivers should decide what's right for their own children, not have that decision made for everyone. This section is our small way of standing up for curiosity, empathy, and open access to stories.
